Our 360º experience gives students the unique opportunity to explore marine protected areas through virtual reality headsets, with the content mirrored on a projector or television. It’s an immersive journey into the underwater world, right from the classroom. Some of our footage is captured across different seasons, allowing students to compare and contrast marine biodiversity over time and observe how environmental changes can affect ecosystems. This opens up a wide range of teaching possibilities across science, geography, and conservation topics.
Each session is accompanied by a marine species guide and a presentation filled with facts and engaging content about the local marine environment and the significance of protected areas. We work in collaboration with schools to tailor the experience: choosing which protected area to explore, aligning with the curriculum, and creating a fun and impactful learning journey.
The students are transported into these marine sanctuaries, gaining a full-sensory understanding of local biodiversity, the challenges it faces, and what actions we can take to protect it. We also introduce students to the work we do, the equipment we use, our research and filming partnerships, and the many exciting career paths within marine biology. Inspiring the next generation of ocean stewards starts with one immersive experience, and that journey begins here.

We offer a unique sensory and immersive experience: a virtual dive into the Australian underwater world, featuring real footage captured by our team and accompanied by relaxing music. Following the video, we facilitate a guided conversation with participants, encouraging the sharing of memories, sensations, and reflections related to the ocean, nature, well-being, and positive emotions.
The combination of virtual reality and guided dialogue aims to promote relaxation, cognitive stimulation, and emotional connection.
All sessions are documented (with prior consent) to contribute to a future scientific study on the therapeutic benefits of underwater virtual reality for older adults, including those with dementia, cognitive decline, or in palliative care. This is one of the long-term goals of Soul Marine Mission.

We are deeply committed to bringing ocean education and inspiration to regional and rural communities across Australia. Sharing the wonders of the marine world beyond the coastline is one of the most meaningful parts of our mission.
We would be honoured to bring our project to your community, whether it's through libraries, cultural centres, community events, councils, schools, aged care homes, or other local spaces. From country towns to local halls, we create inclusive opportunities for people of all ages to learn, connect, and experience the ocean like never before.
It’s our way of ensuring that everyone, regardless of location, has the chance to explore, understand, and fall in love with the marine world.

At markets and public events, our work is all about offering the local community and tourists the opportunity to experience immersive journeys through marine protected areas. It’s a chance to connect with the ocean in a meaningful way, learn about our educational mission, and engage with the importance of marine conservation.
We invite people of all ages to dive into our world, discover the beauty of Australia's underwater ecosystems, and see how virtual reality can spark awareness, curiosity, and action.
